UPDATE: Saturday’s lightweight title fight has been postponed due to Teofimo Lopez testing positive for COVID-19. The fight and the full card are being moved to August 14, per Mike Coppinger.
Teofimo Lopez is putting his WBA, WBO, IBF and The Ring lightweight titles on the line on Saturday night, as he faces off against George Kambosos Jr. at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. The main card will kick off at 9 p.m. ET, with main event ring walks expected at around 11:30 p.m. ET.
The fight will be available on Triller Fight Club pay-per-view for $49.99. Once you’ve purchased access to the fight on PPV, you can stream it live on Fite.TV or using the FITE app, available on iOS, Google Play, Roku, XBox and more.
Lopez enters the fight as the top lightweight and seventh in The Ring’s pound-for-pound rankings. He’s 16-0 for his career with 12 knockouts and is making his first defense of The Ring title since claiming it from Vasyl Lomachenko last October in a unanimous decision victory.
Kambosos enters the fight with a 19-0 record (10 knockouts) and ranked eighth among all lightweights. He last fought in October as well, winning a split decision over Lee Selby in London. Kambosos has previously held an Oceania lightweight title and is looking to make a statement in his biggest fight to date.
Lopez is favored in this title bout on DraftKings Sportsbook. We don’t yet have any prop bets for the fight, but we’ll be sure to post any that become available.
