We go over some of the best betting options for Saturday’s matchup between the Oakland A’s and New York Yankees.

The Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees will continue their three-game series at 1:05 p.m. ET. Chris Bassitt will be on the mound for the Athletics, while the Yankees will start Domingo German. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Athletics vs. Yankees, 1:05 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Athletics +110

The Athletics, who are one of the hottest teams in the majors right now, began their 10-game road trip with a 5-3 win on Friday night against the Yankees. With the win, Oakland has now won seven straight games and is averaging 6.8 runs per game. As for New York, they saw their three-game winning streak snapped and have lost five straight games at home.

In their recent losses at home, New York is only averaging 3.0 runs per game, which is not going to get it done. They will hope to their fortunes around with Domingo German on the mound. The 28-year-old got crushed in his last start against the Phillies, allowing 7 runs, 10 hits in only 4.1 IP. If the Yankees were hoping for a bounce back performance, it might be tough as German is 0-2 with a 4.11 ERA in six home starts this season. New York is 3-2 in his last five starts. But German has not fared well against the A’s in his career, with a 6.05 ERA in four outings.

That being said, the A’s might be the best pick here, especially with their ace on the mound in Bassitt. He’s only allowed four runs or less in his last 25 starts, which span over two years. The 32-year-old starter has a record of 7-2 and 3.43 ERA in 14 starts. Also, he’s pitched well on the road this season with a 4-0 record and 3.98 ERA in seven outings. Look for the A’s to continue their recent success and come away with the win.

Player Prop: Chris Bassitt over 5.5 strikeouts (-134)

Usually, when we have strikeout props listed at -134, I pass on them. But when it comes to Bassitt and how well he’s performed, it’s too hard to pass up. The veteran pitcher has gone over 5.5 strikeouts in 9 out of 14 starts this season, which includes 3 out of his last 4 road outings. Bassitt will be facing a Yankees’ lineup that is averaging 9.19 strikeouts per game this season and 9.79 K’s per game at home.
