The Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros will continue their four-game set at 8:00 p.m. ET. Nick Pivetta will be on the mound for the Red Sox, while Framber Valdez will start for the Astros. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.
Red Sox vs. Astros, 8:00 p.m. ET, ESPN
Moneyline pick: Red Sox +130
The Astros will try to add another win to their three-game winning streak tonight against the Red Sox. Houston has won the first two games of this four-game set with relative ease as they have outscored Boston, 16-3. Over the course of their mini win streak, the Astros are averaging 7.6 runs per game.
They will look to continue their offensive onslaught against BoSox starting pitcher Nick Pivetta, which will not be easy. Pivetta has quietly been one of the best pitchers in the American League not named Lance Lynn, Shane Bieber, or Carlos Rodon.
The former Phillies pitcher is 6-0 with an ERA of 3.86 through 10 starts this season. Pivetta has been solid on the road this season with a 3-0 record, but a 4.09 ERA. The good news is that the Red Sox’s offense has come to life when Pivetta is on the mound, averaging 7 runs in his last three starts. Boston is a heavy underdog at +130 odds, but I like their chance to win tonight, especially with Pivetta on the mound. And not too mention, Valdez is only making his second start this season.
Player Prop: TBD pitching props for neither team have yet to be posted.
