Aric Almirola claims pole position in 2021 Ally 400 starting lineup at Nashville Superspeedway

UPDATE: Aric Almirola claimed the pole with a lap of 29.557. Kyle Busch will join him on the first row for the Sunday afternoon race.

NASCAR wraps up its weekend at Nashville Superspeedway with the first ever Cup Series race at the track. The Ally 400 runs at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, and it will be preceded by qualifying at 11:05 a.m. ET. Both events will air on NBC Sports Betwork. Both will be available for live stream via NBCSports.com/live.

Qualifying is a rarity this season. NASCAR is running qualifying at eight tracks this season, and Nashville is one of them given most drivers lack significant experience on the track. The Cup Series has never run a race at Nashville Superspeedway and the Xfinity and Truck Series had not run a race for a decade prior.

Each driver will run a lap and the fastest driver will claim the pole position. Below we’ve posted the full entry list and will update it as results come in to eventually set the starting lineup for Sunday’s Ally 400.

Kyle Larson enters qualifying as the race favorite, installed at +225 to win at DraftKings Sportsbook. Chase Elliott follows at +500, then William Byron at +800, and Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin at +1000.
