The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery took place at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 22nd to decide the front half of the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers were awarded the No. 3 pick in the first round of the draft following the lottery draw. The Cavaliers were tied for the second-best odds to win the No. 1 pick at 11.5 percent with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Here we’re going to take a look at where the Cavaliers are drafting and who they should look to take.

Who should the Cleveland Cavaliers take with the No. 3 pick?

The Cavaliers will be hoping big man Evan Mobley falls to them at No. 3, but it’s unlikely the Rockets pass on him. Cleveland has high hopes for Darius Garland and Collin Sexton in the backcourt, so guards Jalen Suggs and Jalen Green might not be the best options for roster fit. Johnathan Kuminga is the pick here and fits well as a combo forward. Scottie Barnes could also be a potential fit for Cleveland.
