The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery took place at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 22nd to decide the front half of the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. The Indiana Pacers were awarded the No. 13 pick in the first round of the draft following the lottery draw. The Spurs had the 13th-best odds to win the No. 1 overall pick at 1.2 percent. Here we’re going to take a look at where the Pacers are drafting and who they should look to take.
Who should the Indiana Pacers take with the No. 13 pick?
The Pacers were a fringe playoff team this past season and are also in the market for a coach. Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis are potential cornerstones for the team, but this pick will be another opportunity to develop a valuable contributor. After looking at some of the more experienced players in the draft, the Pacers opt to take Stanford’s Ziaire Williams in a high upside play.
