The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery took place at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 22nd to decide the front half of the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. The Chicago Bulls were awarded the No.8 pick in the first round of the draft following the lottery draw. The Magic own the rights to the Bulls first-round pick in the draft following the Nikola Vucevic trade. The Bulls were tied for the eighth-best odds to win the No. 1 pick at 4.5 percent. Here we’re going to take a look at where the Bulls/Magic are drafting and who they should look to take.

Who should the Orlando Magic take with the No. 8 pick?

The Magic ended up getting the 2021 first-rounder via the Nikola Vucevic trade from the Bulls. So the Magic will have the Nos. 5 and 8 picks in the 2021 NBA Draft. The team could look to package the picks to try and secure a superstar or young budding star in the NBA, rather than wait and try and develop two players. Still, the Magic are riddled with young talent that could develop down the line. At No. 8, it may not be a bad idea to reach for a project big like Franz Wagner out of Michigan or Isaiah Jackson out of Kentucky.
