The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery took place at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 22nd to decide the front half of the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. The Golden State Warriors were awarded the No. 14 pick in the first round of the draft following the lottery draw. The Spurs had the 14th-best odds to win the No. 1 overall pick at 0.5 percent. Here we’re going to take a look at where the Warriors are drafting and who they should look to take.

Who should the Golden State Warriors take with the No. 14 pick?

It’s no surprise the Warriors stayed put at No. 14. They hold two lottery picks after the Timberwolves’ top-3 protected pick conveyed this year. There’s a very low chance this pick stays with the Warriors. Golden State is trying to win now with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson entering the back end of their primes. If the Warriors do make a selection here, they’ll likely look to add shooting and Corey Kispert fits the bill. He’s lights-out from the perimeter and slots in well offensively. His upside isn’t high, but he can contribute right away.
