Astros vs. Tigers, 7:10 p.m. ET, ESPN+

Moneyline pick: Astros -275

It is hard to bet against the Houston Astros right now, who have won 11 straight games after defeating the Detroit Tigers 12-3 on Thursday night. The Astros have scored 25 runs in their last two games and averaging 8.45 runs per game during their win streak. Houston is a heavy favorite heading into tonight’s game with -275 odds on the moneyline. The Astros should not have any problems with Tigers starter Wily Peralta, who is only making his second start this season.

Peralta held his own against the Los Angeles Angels last week, allowing 7 hits (2 HRs), 5 earned runs, 2 walks, and producing 2 strikeouts in 5.0 IP. However, he's facing an Astros’ lineup that is doing good against right-handed pitching this season, hitting .274/.350/.459.

As for Houston’s starting pitcher Framber Valdez, he’s 4-0 with an ERA of 1.67 through five starts this season. The 27-year-old has pitched well on the road with a 2-0 record, 1.26 ERA, and .196 opponents batting average. In both of his road starts, Valdez has at least gone 7.0 IP, which should not be a problem against Detroit. Take the Astros on the ML and if you do not want to pay that high price, then also explore the -1.5 run line at -175 odds.

Player Prop: Michael Brantley to hit a home run (+475)

If you want a long shot home run prop to bet on, look no further than Houston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley, who has been on a tear at the plate. Brantley has a six-game hitting streak with at least two hits in each game. However, he hasn’t hit a HR in any of those games. That could change tonight as he’s facing a right-handed pitcher in Wily Peralta. This season, Brantley is slashing .400/.449/.585 with 3 HRs and 20 RBI against right handed pitching.
