The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking for a guard in the 2021 NBA draft, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jalen Green and Jalen Suggs are co-favorites to join Cleveland in the draft according to DraftKings Sportsbook with both guards listed at +125 to be the third pick. Evan Mobley is third at +150, but the surprise is Scottie Barnes at +700. He’s tied for the fourth spot with Johnathan Kuminga.
The Cavaliers have guards in Darius Garland and Collin Sexton and while that doesn’t prevent from taking another guard, the likelihood of them drafting Green or Suggs is low assuming both are available. Mobley at +150 represents great value here as well, assuming the Houston Rockets don’t take him.
If the Cavaliers like both guards, they can simply take whichever one Houston doesn’t. Cade Cunningham is expected to go first overall so he’s out of the running here, even though DKSB lists the Oklahoma State star at +5000.
Mobley is the favorite here, but Barnes and Kuminga are also good sleeper bets given Cleveland’s current roster. If the Cavs more on from Garland or Sexton, a guard becomes more likely at No. 3.
