8:45 p.m. update: The second round has been suspended due to darkness and will resume at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The cut line sits at +2 with the last trio on the 11th hole.
The PGA Tour tees off the second round of the Memorial Tournament in 2021 on Friday at approximately 11:32 a.m. ET after a Thursday rain delay pushed part of the first round into Friday. Collin Morikawa is your first round leader after shooting six under for his first round. He’s one shot up on Adam Long and Scottie Scheffler.
The first trios tee off on Friday at approximately 11:32 a.m. ET and the final groups are scheduled to be on the course sometime around the 6 p.m. hour. There’s a long way to go before we find out what the weekend field looks like for the Memorial Tournament.
How is the cut line determined?
The cut line at 36 holes is the top 65 players plus those tied at the end of that group. Some tournaments will have a second cut after day three (54 holes) if that initial group is 78 total players, but this is not one of those tournaments.
What is the cut line for the Memorial Tournament?
7:08 p.m. — The projected cut line is +2 with the last golfers on the course.
5:08 p.m. — The cut line is back to +2 with the second half of the field hitting the course through 5:53 p.m.
1:45 p.m. — Half the field is on the course and the projected cut is back to +1.
1 p.m. — The final round formally wrapped and the cut sits at +2 with the second round underway.
The projected cut opens on Friday at +1.
Who is not projected to make the cut?
7:08 p.m. — Sungjae Im finished at +3, Billy Horschel is at +3.
5:08 p.m. — Sungjae Im has shot five over for the day and is at +3, Russell Henley finished at +4, and Billy Horschel will tee off shortly at +4.
1:45 p.m. — Jordan Spieth has shot two under for the day and is sitting at +2. Matt Jones is at +4 and even through six holes.
1 p.m. — Martin Laird is two over through three holes on Friday and is now sitting at +4 for the tournament.
