Saturday’s nine-game MLB slate will include a Tigers-White Sox matchup at 2:10 p.m. ET and run through a pair of games at 4:10 p.m. ET. Some fantasy options seem poised to dominate their matchups, and we’ve identified a couple of games worth building lineups around.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Saturday, June 5th.
Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox, 2:10 p.m. ET
Yoan Moncada ($5,400)
Yermin Mercedes ($4,900)
Tim Anderson ($4,800)
Nick Madrigal ($4,600)
The White Sox have consistently been one of MLB’s best teams at the plate all year and several of their best hitters are riding impressive hot streaks. Moncada, Anderson, and Madrigal have each tallied at least 11 hits over their last 10 games and should get plenty of action on the front end of Chicago’s lineup. Mercedes ended his hitting slump with a walk-off on Friday and can use that momentum to continue driving in runs at a high rate.
Houston Astros vs. Toronto Blue Jays, 3:07 p.m. ET
Alex Bregman ($5,100)
Jose Altuve ($5,000)
Carlos Correa ($4,100)
The Astros are giving everyone problems this year and racked up six hits with three earned runs en route to a 10-4 victory the last time they faced Ross Stripling ($5,900). Altuve is batting .302 at the top of the order and has been one of MLB’s best leadoff ma. His .831 OPS gives him a good chance to be knocked home by Bregman or Correa. Bregman is in a bit of a slump but rested on Friday and should be fresh to kick off the weekend. Correa is a bargain, as four of the 11 hits he’s tallied in his last 10 games have been home runs. Having that power in the 2-hole could help maximize this stack’s potential.
