The Brooklyn Nets overcame an early James Harden hamstring injury in Game 1 of their second-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday and will attempt to go up 2-0 after Game 2 on Monday to kick off the week. Let’s go over the best betting options at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Bucks vs. Nets 7:30 p.m. ET, TNT
Pick ATS: Nets -1.5
It’s surprising to see that this line is so close because Harden has already been ruled out for Game 2, but the Nets proved that they could perform at a high level without their top playmaker over the weekend. Brooklyn managed to win the first three-quarters of Game 1 despite a below-average shooting performance from Kyrie Irving. Poor shooting from Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton was also a factor in Game 1, but the Nets also forced Giannis Antetokounmpo to take 50% of his shots from at least 10 feet away from the basket. Bettors shouldn’t undersell Brooklyn’s ability to funnel Antetokounmpo, and its role-players can team over enough to get another win before heading to Fiserv Forum.
Player Prop: Bryn Forbes over 10.5 points (+110)
Forbes was a disaster in Game 1, but still managed to put up five points. Expect him, and Milwaukee in general, to have a better shooting night. Forbes is averaging 20 minutes per game and could get more run if he starts out hot. He’s averaging 7.6 3-point attempts per contest, so he only needs three or four to hit to provide a payout.
