We have a full 15-game slate in the majors Wednesday, which means there are still multiple opportunities to come away with a win in DraftKings baseball DFS. The main slate has 12 games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Wednesday, June 9th.
Brewers vs. Reds, 7:10 p.m. ET
Jesse Winker ($4,700)
Nick Castellanos ($4,500)
Jonathan India ($3,700)
For our first team stack, we have a NL Central matchup between the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark. The Brewers will start Brett Anderson, while the Reds will give the ball to rookie Vladimir Gutierrez. DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total set at 10, which is one of the highest totals on the board.
When you see a rookie pitcher on the mound, the obvious play would be the Brewers. But not in this case when you have one of the best offenses in baseball in the Reds. Cincinnati is averaging 4.88 runs per game and 5.81 runs per game at home. Anderson has a record of 2-3 with an ERA of 4.42 in nine starts this season. In his lone start against the Reds, he allowed 4 hits (2 HRs), 2 earned runs, and had 3 strikeouts in 5.0 IP.
Overall, Anderson’s road ERA is at 4.57 and an opponent batting average of .262. Reds OF Nick Castellanos is a must add in this team stack as he’s hitting .368 with a home run in 19 at-bats against Anderson.
Rafael Devers ($5,900)
Xander Bogaerts ($5,800)
Alex Verdugo ($3,900)
If you had an Astros player or stack in DFS on Tuesday night, then you probably had a good night with Houston defeating Boston 7-1. We are going to stay with this game for Wednesday night as DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total set at 10. We could see a ton of runs with Jake Odorizzi on the mound for the Astros and Nathan Eovaldi getting the start for the Red Sox.
Between the two starting pitchers, the Red Sox’s offense should be able to score some runs and put up points in DFS. Odorizzi has a record of 0-3 with an ERA of 7.16 in five starts this season. In his only road start this season, the veteran pitcher has an ERA of 8.31. However, he just faced the Red Sox last week, where Odorizzi allowed 4 hits (1 HR), 3 earned runs, 3 walks and only had 2 strikeouts in 3.0 IP.
Royals vs. Angels, 9:38 p.m. ET
Whit Merrifield ($5,800)
Salvador Perez ($5,500)
Andrew Benintendi ($4,100)
Our final team stack for Wednesday night will come from the last game of the night with the Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Angels. The Royals have lost the first two games of their three-game set to the Angels. With that in mind, Kansas City should be able to get back on track against Angels starting pitcher Griffin Canning, who is 4-4 with an ERA of 5.82 in nine starts this season.
However, the 25-year-old starter has struggled at home this season with a 6.52 ERA and has an ERA of 8.74 in his last three starts. Also, right-handed hitters are slugging .271/.324/.604 with 8 HRs and 18 RBI.
