Group C provides plenty of intrigue with the Netherlands favored to win the group, but Austria and Ukraine right in the mix for a spot in the knockout round. North Macedonia will be heavy underdogs, but anything can happen on the pitch.
Bettors interested in Euro 2021 DFS competitions will have a lot of data to access ahead of the competition. Here’s a look at who bettors can count on in Group C to deliver value in DFS. If you’re interested in the full dataset, check here.
DraftKings provided a list of every player to play in a match after the 2018 World Cup and how that player performed. We’ve trimmed that list down to look at the top 10 DFS performances in non-friendlies for each team. Here’s which players feature most often for each squad in Group C.
Netherlands
Memphis Depay, 8 appearances - Depay is a longtime star for the Dutch national side, netting 25 goals in 63 matches. He’s been overshadowed by some great strikers and attacking players, but he’ll be the focal point of the Dutch offense this time around. Depay is reportedly a Barcelona target, so this will be another opportunity for him to boost his value.
Also in top 10: Georginio Wijnaldum, Steven Berghuis
Austria
Marko Arnautovic, 3 appearances - Arnautovic has scored goals at every stop in his long soccer career and brings 87 international appearances for Austria to Euro 2021. He’s not going to get a lot of press, but he could help you in your DFS lineups.
Valentino Lazaro, 2 appearances - Lazaro is an up-and-coming midfielder for Inter Milan, but doesn’t really have the goal-scoring credentials to grab much attention. That’s good news for bettors looking at value in DFS formats, where Lazaro will come cheap but deliver steady production.
Also in top 10: Christoph Baumgartner, Konrad Laimer, Marcel Sabitzer, Sasa Kalajdzic. Stefan Lainer
Ukraine
Yevhen Konoplyanka, 2 appearances - Konoplyanka has 21 goals in 85 international appearances, making him one of Ukraine’s most consistent performers. The team surprised many by winning its Euro qualifying group and could be a great bet to make it to the knockout round. Konoplyanka will be a big part of that effort.
Ruslan Malinovskiy, 2 appearances - Malinovskiy had three goals in Ukraine’s Euro qualifying campaign and brings a proven ability to score to the squad. As a member of Atalanta’s high-flying attack, Malinovskiy fits what Ukraine aims to do well and should be in the mix to score consistently. He’s not a big name, so you can likely get him for cheap in DFS lineups.
Viktor Tsygankov, 2 appearances - Tsygankov is a rising star for Dynamo Kiev, racking up 60 goals in 126 matches for the club. He’s only 23, making him a promising piece for Ukraine going forward. Euro 2021 will be his chance to make a big impact on the global stage.
Also in top 10: Roman Yaremchuk, Oleksandr Karavaev, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Marlos Bonfim
North Macedonia
Aleksandar Trajkovski, 3 appearances - Trajkovski is a versatile forward with 18 goals in 63 caps for North Macedonia, making him the top option for the squad. He can get some play in DFS lineups given his lower price point.
Enis Bardhi, 2 appearances - Bardhi deserves a look in DFS formats. He’s going to come cheap and he has a knack for scoring goals, netting five in his last 22 international matches.
Ezgjan Alioski, 2 appearances - Alioski knows a thing or two about scoring goals as a member of Leeds United. He’s got six goals in the last 25 international matches he’s played in and could offer some value in DFS lineups.
Eljif Elmas, 2 appearances - The young Macedonia midfielder is starting to get going at Napoli, but it’s hard to expect much from him at Euro 2021.
Also in top 10: Goran Pandev
