The Championships at Wimbledon come to a close Sunday morning with the men’s final. A day after Ashleigh Barty defeated Karolína Plíšková in three sets, No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic faces No. 7 seed Matteo Berrettini. The match takes place on Center Court at 9 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 11. The final will air on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
Djokovic is seeking his sixth career Wimbledon title and the 20th Grand Slam of his career, which would tie him with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer for the most all-time among male players. Djokovic lost the first set of his first round match against Jack Draper, but has not lost a set since. His straight sets win over Denis Shapovalov required him to get a 7th win in each set, including one tiebreaker.
Berrettini is seeking the first Grand Slam of his career in the first Grand Slam final of his career. He had little trouble in the first four rounds, losing a single set in the first round. In the quarterfinals, he beat No. 16 seed Félix Auger-Aliassime in four sets. In the semifinals, he beat No. 14 seed Hubert Hurkacz in four sets as well.
