Tracking MLB betting action for Saturday, July 24th

As the trade deadline nears, MLB teams are looking to either sell off prominent players to start a rebuild or acquire the missing piece to round out a contender. Saturday’s slate offers a glimpse at several of these teams and players, as well as some marquee baseball matchups when the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox renew their rivalry and the Chicago White Sox meet the Milwaukee Brewers in a potential World Series preview.

MLB picks for Saturday, July 24th

Kris Bryant over 1.5 hits (+170)

Bryant has been bad over the last seven games, hitting .111. However, his average in the last 15 games is .267. The Diamondbacks are going to offer plenty of chances for Bryant to make what could be his final home games as a Cub memorable. The value is great for a player trying to prove his value.

Padres -1.5 vs. Marlins (+115)

The Padres are one of the NL’s top teams, while the Marlins are near the bottom of the league. San Diego is sending ace Yu Darvish to the mound and should be able to put up plenty of offense in this one. At + odds, this is a great value bet.

Nationals total runs over 5.5 (-115)

The Orioles are sending Matt Harvey and his 7.13 season ERA to the mound. The Nationals struggled in the last two games, but put up eight, 18 and six runs in the three games prior to those setbacks. Washington wants to get back to its winning ways and this is the perfect chance to do that.

Yankees total runs under 3.5 (+105)

The Red Sox have Nathan Eovaldi on the bump and he’s been great against the Yankees this season. In three starts vs. New York, Eovaldi has given up a combined four runs and two home runs. This guy has been shutting down his opposition of late and has New York’s number. The Yankees haven’t hit their stride this year and will likely continue to struggle Saturday.
