The first full week of games following the All-Star Break has come and gone, and we’re headed toward the dog days of summer. It’s a bit of a light slate on Monday, July 26th with nine games including a doubleheader, but plenty of money-making opportunities are available to be had.
Here we’re going to be tracking all the best MLB picks base on the odds and lines on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday’s baseball action.
MLB picks for Monday, July 26th
Reds vs. Cubs U8.5 (-105)
The Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs will start some of their top pitchers on the mound, and we’re getting fantastic odds with the under in this spot. Reds starter Wade Miley has a 2.72 ERA and allowed just three earned runs in the last three starts, a span of 21 innings. Meanwhile, Kyle Hendricks will go for the Cubs with a 3.61 ERA, and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of his last four starts, a span of 24.2 innings. With the way these two have been throwing, this is tremendous value.
Blue Jays ML (-110) vs. Red Sox
The Toronto Blue Jays moneyline is going to be our play in their matchup with the Boston Red Sox on Monday night. Toronto will start Thomas Hatch, who is making his 2021 MLB debut after being called up on July 19th. He appeared in 17 games with one start in 2020 with a 2.73 ERA. Meanwhile, Toronto has had plenty of success against Boston starter Nick Pivetta this year. In three starts against the Blue Jays, Pivetta allowed 14 runs over 16.2 innings.
Michael Pineda U4.5 strikeouts (-115)
Minnesota Twins starter Michael Pineda has struggled to punch out batters in recent starts. He is going up against the Detroit Tigers lineup, which has struck out the second most times in all of baseball this season, but Pineda has not gone very deep in any of his last five starts. In his last five outings, he has never pitched more than 5.1 innings and has not reached 4.5 strikeouts in any of them.
Jonathan Schoop O1.5 hits (+165)
Detroit Tigers hitter Jonathan Schoop will enter Monday night with the longest hitting streak in baseball at 15 consecutive games with a hit. He will go up against Twins starter Michael Pineda, who gave up 12 hits just two games ago. A payout would be quite high if Schoop gets two hits here, but it’s worth the risk.
