UPDATE: Rodgers’ plan landed late Monday night in Green Bay while team President Mark Murphy told a fan this morning that the quarterback was already at the facility. It appears the drama is over, for now.
Fan outside Lambeau Field to Packers President Mark Murphy as he walked in: “When is Aaron going to be here?”

Murphy: “He’s here already.”
Me: “Can I quote you in that?”
Murphy (no response)
UPDATE: It appears that Rodgers will return, but only with the ability to get out of Green Bay after this season. It will be interesting to see how playing the season with one foot out the door will go over in Green Bay. Of course, the Packers are likely hoping that they can truly bring Rodgers back into the fold this season, but it sure doesn’t look like Rodgers expects that to happen.
The new agreement, once finalized, would help set up Aaron Rodgers’ departure from Green Bay after this season, per sources. https://t.co/NojVojcHjy

UPDATE: Rodgers is now close to terms that would bring Rogers back for another season. He is under contract, but appeared more than willing to try to force a trade. The new contract would likely give Rodgers more control of his future.
Over the past weekend, the two sides were able to reach mutually-agreed upon terms that are close to convincing Aaron Rodgers to abandon plans he had to skip training camp and instead return for it. Concessions do not include more money, per sources. https://t.co/NojVojcHjy

Finally some good news for Packers fans, as it appears their MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going to play for Green Bay this season, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. This is the first sign of the ice between Rodgers and the higher ups thawing.
#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has indicated to people close to him that he does plan to play for GB this season, sources say. That is the expectation. Many factors at play, but with GM Brian Gutekunst saying he is “hopeful” for a positive outcome, there is a glimmer of optimism.

This news has already pushed sportsbooks to take down their NFC North and Packers related odds. Nothing is set in stone yet, but the Packers seem to have gotten the message and have been trying their best to get Rodgers back in the fold. They reportedly offered Rodgers a huge contract to smooth things over.
If Rodgers truly is back, the boost to the offense is immeasurable. Davante Adams becomes the No. 1 fantasy receiver again, while Robert Tonyan and Aaron Jones get a big boost as scoring opportunities will increase tremendously compared to Blake Bortles or Jordan Love behind center. Oh, and they will once again have a real shot at winning a Super Bowl.
