The Milwaukee Bucks selected Sandro Mamukelashvili with the No. 54 pick in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft. The reigning champions had to trade plenty of picks to build the title squad, so only one pick in 2021.

The Bucks are in a weird spot. Milwaukee won a title in a season in which we saw plenty of superstar players go down due to injury prior to and during the playoffs. The Bucks will generally bring back the same lineup featuring MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. PJ Tucker is the only real rotation player from the championship squad that will become a free agent.

So we’ll likely see the defending champs load up the same team in 2021-22. It will be more difficult for the Bucks to repeat considering better teams will likely be healthy this time around. If they aren’t, perhaps Giannis and Co. can sneak by and get back to the NBA Finals.

No. 54, second round: Sandro Mamukelashvili, C, Seton Hall
No. 60, second round: Georgios Kalaitzakis, F, Greece

Fantasy basketball outlook

Sandro Mamukelashvili — Don’t expect a lot from the Seton Hall product who is headed to the NBA champions. He’s going to get a lot of development work in behind the scenes, but likely won’t be a huge factor in fantasy or DFS lineups.
