The NBA offseason got underway with the NBA draft on July 29. Free agency negotiations begin August 2 with teams officially being able to sign players to deals beginning August 6. Leonard suffered an ACL injury in the postseason and is expected to miss significant time. He could opt into next season’s contract and rehabilitate the injury before hitting free agency next season with a clean bill of health.
