San Diego Padres SS Fernando Tatis Jr. has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a shoulder subluxation after leaving Friday’s game following a slide into third base. The All-Star had to exit early against the Colorado Rockies after sliding awkwardly into third base and appearing to dislocate his left shoulder. He’s had this problem earlier in the season, as AJ Cassavell mentions below. Tatis was able to return pretty quickly, though the more this happens, the worse things could get.
The Padres will place Fernando Tatis Jr. on the IL with a left shoulder subluxation. He returned after the minimum 10-day stint last time. The Padres are hopeful for the same type of recovery this time, but it's obviously dependent on how he feels over the next week or so.

The Padres are a bit more equipped to withstand Tatis being absent from the lineup at this point in the season, after all their MLB Trade Deadline moves. All-Star Adam Frazier will be in the lineup more regularly. For Saturday’s game, the Pads shifted 2B Jake Cronenworth over to shortstop while Frazier will play 2B. San Diego’s lineup is still pretty stacked even with the NL MVP candidate out.
