The 2021 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating contest will have the women open the proceedings on Sunday, July 4th from the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island, New York.

The women’s competition begins at 11:00 a.m., with the introduction of the 10 contestants starting at 10:45 a.m. All of the women’s competition will be broadcast on ESPN3 and the ESPN App starting at 10:45 a.m. The broadcast shifts to main ESPN at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, with introductions in the men’s contest starting at 12:00 p.m., and the dogs getting eaten at 12:30 p.m.

The women have competed separately from the men since 2011, with Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas winning the first three years, and Miki Sudo taking home the pink belt every year since. But Sudo won’t be able to defend her seven-consecutive championships, as she’s out this year while pregnant with her first child due later this year.

That makes Michelle Lesco the prohibitive favorite at -835 at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the rest of the field clocking in at +450 as a group.
