The Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks will square off in the 2021 NBA Finals to wrap up a crazy postseason. The Suns will be looking to win their first ever championship while the Bucks hope to capture their first trophy since 1970-71.

The Suns are currently favored to win the series at -185. The Finals is expected to go the distance, with seven games being the top series length pick at +180. Here’s our top picks for who will win NBA Finals MVP, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best bets for 2021 NBA Finals MVP

Devin Booker, Suns (+250)

If the Suns win the series, it’ll be likely Booker has a big Finals performance. He is averaging 27.0 points per game in the postseason and is most capable of going off for monster games. Although Booker’s assist and rebound totals aren’t massive, they’re enough to supplement his scoring to give him the best chance to win Finals MVP.

Chris Paul, Suns (+180)

Paul is the media darling and has narrative going for him. After struggling to reach the Finals during much of his career with superior teams on paper, Paul finally broke through this season after bouncing around with several teams to end up in Phoenix. Many people thought the Paul trade was a temporary floor raiser, but the point guard ended up leading a group of young stars to the Finals. He’s got the best odds, but might not have the big performances to back up the storyline.

Khris Middleton, Bucks (+550)

Middleton has been the closer for Milwaukee in the postseason due to his ability to shoot from the perimeter. He’s been instrumental in keeping the Bucks competitive with Antetokounmpo sidelined and is going to have to keep it going in the Finals. There’s a chance the Greek Freak doesn’t play a few games in the series, meaning Middleton in Milwaukee’s best hope for winning at the moment.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks (+380)

I believe, like many around the league, Antetokounmpo will ultimately suit up for the Finals at some point. It likely won’t be in the first two contests, but Game 3 in Milwaukee seems like the best time for him to return. If he’s back to 100 percent, Antetokounmpo is going to put up numbers. He’ll be the best player on the floor as well. However, it’s hard to see him winning Finals MVP over Middleton if the Bucks win, but he misses time. Antetokounmpo would be next on the list if the Bucks win but he shouldn’t get the nod over Middleton unless something drastically changes with his injury.
