There’s a slate of 11 MLB games happening tonight across the country, and there are plenty of chances to make some money by putting some cash down on a few things.
Here we’re going to be tracking all the best MLB picks based on the odds and lines on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday night’s baseball action.
MLB picks for Monday, July 5th
Atlanta Braves -1.5 vs Pittsburgh Pirates (-120)
The Braves are taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates in this one. The two teams have faced off four other times this year, with Atlanta winning three of the four. In those four games, even the loss, they’re averaging 9.25 runs per game. The Pirates scored nine runs the entire series.
Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 vs Cleveland Indians (-102)
The Rays have struggled a bit recently, but this looks like the perfect spot to get back on track. They’ll see Logan Allen from the Cleveland Indians in this one. He’s had a tough go of it this year, throwing just 19.2 innings but giving up 21 runs.
Tampa’s offense will be able to take advantage of Allen early while their pitcher, Rich Hill, should be able to stop a less than stellas Cleveland offense.
Jose Abreu to hit a HR (ODDS TBD)
Abreu has a pretty good chance to go long today and it’s a solid risk to take when looking at the MLB player props. He has just 14 home runs this season, but he’s hit two of them in the last week. One of those bombs was off of Minnesota’s projected starting pitcher for today, Bailey Ober.
Kolby Allard over TBD strikeouts (TBD)
While Allard doesn’t tend to throw up big strikeout numbers, he’ll have that chance today. He’s averaging less than one strikeout per inning pitched this season. However, the Tigers strikeout more than any team in baseball by a significant margin. Look for him to be able to hit the over today if it’s set around 4.5 or so.
