We have a 14-game schedule in the majors on Tuesday, which means there are still multiple opportunities to come away with a win in DraftKings baseball DFS. The main slate has 14 games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Tuesday, July 6th.
Phillies vs. Cubs
Bryce Harper ($5,000)
J.T. Realmuto ($3,700)
Didi Gregorius ($3,600)
Throughout this season, we’ve rarely picked the Phillies as one of our team stacks because their offense can be inconsistent and they haven’t had their full ensemble of starters. When they are facing a pitcher like Jake Arrieta, who has struggled immensely this year, it is a no-brainer play in DFS.
The Phillies won Monday night’s series opener against the Cubs 13-3 at Wrigley Field, when they hit five home runs. Arrieta has not fared well on the mound this season with a record of 5-8 and 5.57 ERA in 16 starts. But when he’s pitching at Wrigley Field, his ERA drops down to 4.08 with a 2-4 record. Lefties are getting the better off Arrieta this season, hitting .279 with 8 HRs, which is good news for Phillies star OF Bryce Harper. Despite being 0-for-9 against Arrieta in his career, Harper is hitting .276/.375/.502 against right-handed pitchers with 12 HRs and 22 RBI.
Yankees vs. Mariners
Mitch Haniger ($4,200)
J.P. Crawford ($3,900)
Kyle Seager ($3,800)
We could see a lot of runs scored in the final game on Tuesday night in the majors between the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners. DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total currently set at 9.5, which is one of the highest on the board.
Neither Yankees starter Jameson Taillon or Mariners starter Justus Sheffield have been great this season. However, Taillon has been horrific on the road this year with a 0-3 record and 11.12 ERA in five starts. Opponents are also hitting .385 at the plate when Taillon is on the road, which is perfect for the Mariners. Seattle shortstop J.P. Crawford is once again a great value play in his stack and DFS. He’s been unconscious at the plate with a 19-game hitting streak. During his hit streak, Crawford is slugging .349/.379/.494 and averaging 9.1 FPPG.
Reds vs. Royals
Nick Castellanos ($5,700)
Tyler Stephenson ($4,100)
Eugenio Suarez ($3,900)
This was a tough choice for the final DFS team stack for Tuesday night’s main slate because neither starting pitcher has been great for their respective teams. Reds starter Luis Castillo has a 3-10 record and 5.08 ERA, while Royals starter Kris Bubic is 2-4 with a 4.99 ERA. But I like the Cincinnati’s offense against Bubic, who is averaging 4.9 runs per game this season. Right-handed hitters are doing better against Bubic in 2021, slugging .274 with 9 HRs at the plate.
As crazy as it may sound, this might be a good spot to fade Jesse Winkler, who is a lefty, and instead, play Nick Castellanos. The All-Star outfielder hit a home run and scored 14 DKFP in Monday night’s series opener.
