The Phoenix Suns meet the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals Tuesday after a whirlwind playoffs featuring injuries, upsets and rising stars. The Suns are favored to win the series and Game 1 while the Bucks hope superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo can eventually be back on the floor. The forward is questionable for Game 1 after previously being doubtful.
Antetokounmpo would likely be favored to win Finals MVP if he was healthy, but that’s currently not the case. Here’s who the public is backing to win the award as the Greek Freak recovers.
Chris Paul is receiving 25 percent of the money and 15 percent of bets to win the award. The veteran point guard has become a fan favorite after making the Finals for the first time in his career leading a young, talented squad out from the bottom of the Western conference. Paul has narrative going in his favor and a lot of support over the years from prominent media members. If the Suns do win the series, he’s likely going to get the award. Devin Booker is also getting some action with 12 percent of all wagers coming in on the rising shooting guard.
On Milwaukee’s side, Khris Middleton and Antetokounmpo were receiving the same amount of bets in the last update courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook. Antetokounmpo is +330 and Milddeton is +600 to win the honor.
