The massive drives of Bryson DeChambeau and clutch putting Aaron Rodgers were a powerful pair, and they knocked off Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady 3&2 in Capital One’s The Match 4 on Tuesday from Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback (at least for now) holed a 15-foot putt on the 16th green, which was yet another massively clutch stroke with the flat stick. Rodgers was up and down tee-to-green, but nothing short of lights out on the dance floor.
The wide open course and 7,500 feet of elevation at the resort made for some massive shots. Both Rodgers and DeChambeau hit it over 400 yards off the tee on the seventh. DeChambeau hit a 4-iron 300 yards on the ninth. The trash talk between the players was great, but the big winner here might be golf in Montana with the gorgeous vistas and wonderful course.
DeChambeau and Rodgers closed as -177 favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, with Mickelson and Brady closing at +130 underdogs.
