The 2021 Home Run Derby is set for Monday night at Coors Field with the best sluggers in both the American and National Leagues showcasing their power in front of fans during the All-Star break.

Baseball fans will also have the chance to lay down some bets while taking in the derby, which will make it much more interesting. DraftKings Sportsbook has a few prop bets for Monday’s home run derby that seem interesting and are in play for various markets. Here are just some of those prop bets and matchups that you’ll be able to play listed below:

Length of longest home run (measured in feet) - O/U 499.5

With MLB is not putting baseballs in the humidor for Monday night’s home run derby, there’s a strong chance of having home runs going over 499.5 feet which is at -121 odds. The under is set at -106 odds and that’s not terribly bad either. It’s a win/win whichever way you play this prop between the eight participants.

Player to hit the longest home run

Along the same lines of the first prop, DraftKings Sportsbook is also giving users a chance to bet on who will hit the longest homer in the derby. Joey Gallo is the favorite with +350 odds, while Shohei Ohtani has the second-best odds at +400. The long shots for this prop are Salvador Perez at +800 and Trey Mancini +1000.

Batting handedness of winner

This is a quirky prop for Monday night’s home run derby as the field has 4 left-handed and 4 right-handed hitters. If you want to place a bet on a left-handed slugger to win, the odds are -155, while for a right-handed slugger its at +120. It doesn’t come as a surprise to see lefties as the favorite with Ohtani and Gallo having the best odds to win the entire derby.

League of winning player

The American League comes in as the favorite at -195 due to having more players (5) at the derby than the National League (3). The AL should end up winning it with the sluggers they have, but keep an eye out for Pete Alonso, who won the HR derby in 2019.

Exact Outcome

Finally, you can bet on the exact outcome of who will be matched up in the final round and will ultimately win the derby. As of right now, Shohei Ohtani over Joey Gallo is the favorite outcome +1200 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The next best bets are Gallo over Ohtani at +1275 odds and Pete Alonso over Gallo at +1525 odds.
