Tale of the Tape for Sean O’Malley vs. Kris Moutinho at UFC 264

One of the bright young stars of the UFC in both hair and talent, Sean O’Malley will fight Kris Moutinho a bantamweight bout on the main card at UFC 264 on Saturday, July 10th. The event will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and can be bought on ESPN+.

O’Malley is a significant favorite according to the oddsmakers and will enter with a 13-1 professional record. He suffered his first loss in August 2020 against Marlon Vera after winning his first 12 bouts. “The Sugar Show” got back on the winning track with a victory over Thomas Almeida in late March.

O’Malley will enter with a five-inch reach advantage, and he has a high knockout rate at 69%. His knockout average is 1.05 per 15 minutes with a 7:08 average fight time. O’Malley lands 6.35 strikes per minute with significant strikes landing at 57%. His takedown accuracy is 50% with a 61% takedown defense.

Moutinho is a huge underdog heading into this fight, and he was a late add to this card. O’Malley was scheduled to fight Louis Smolka, who withdrew due to a staph infection. Now, Moutinho will make his UFC debut in one of the most anticipated cards of the year. He is 9-4 as a professional heading into this fight, and has his work cut out for him against O’Malley, who appears to be a future superstar in MMA.
