We have a 17-game slate in the majors on Tuesday, beginning at 2:20 p.m. ET. There are a lot good matchups happening across the league that will feature a ton of betting implications.

We ended last week on a high note, going a perfect 2-0 for our best bets Saturday. The first winning bet was the Cincinnati Reds -1.5 (-105), who crushed the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-3 at Great American Ballpark. This was the better play as the moneyline was at a healthy -190, which gives no value whatsoever.

Our second winning bet was the Colorado Rockies (-165), who defeated the Miami Marlins 7-4, behind a nine-strikeout performance from starter Austin Gomber. After scoring one run in the first three innings, the Rockies scored a total of six runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Colorado came into the game as of the one best home teams in baseball and proved to be a good best bet for Saturday night’s slate.

Here we’re going to be tracking all the best MLB picks base on the odds and lines on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s baseball action.

MLB picks for Tuesday, August 10th — Record YTD (28-20)

Sean Manaea over 5.5 strikeouts (-105)

If Manaea’s name sounds familiar, we spotlighted the Oakland Athletics’ starting pitcher last week for a pitching prop. Manaea has been a solid starter on the road this season with a 4-4 record and 2.64 ERA in 10 starts. The 29-year-old will be looking to continue his success on the road tonight against the Cleveland Indians.

Manaea has gone over 5.5 strikeouts in 14 out of 22 starts this season, which includes 5 of his last 6 outings. In his last five road starts, Manaea is averaging 9.2 strikeouts per game. It will be the second time that the A’s starter is facing Cleveland within a month. In his first start against the Indians at home, he produced 7 strikeouts in 5.1 IP. Cleveland’s offense is averaging 8.54 strikeouts per game, but that has gone up on the road to 9.09 strikeouts per game.

Tigers (-125) vs. Orioles

The Detroit Tigers will be opening up a three-game series Tuesday night against the reeling Baltimore Orioles, who have lost five-straight games. The Tigers, however, have lost 3 out of their last 5 games. Detroit will have rookie starting pitcher Casey Mize on the mound, who is 6-6 with 3.57 ERA through 21 starts.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old Mize has performed well on the road with a 3-3 record, 3.58 ERA, and .227 opponents batting average in 11 outings. The Tigers are 3-2 in Mize’s last 5 road starts, but the young pitcher just faced the O’s on July 29. In that contest, he allowed 4 hits, 1 run, 2 walks, and had 2 strikeouts in 7.0 IP. Detroit went on to win that game 6-4. The Tigers should also be able to score some runs on Orioles starter Keegan Akin, who has had a rough season with a 7.66 ERA. Back the Tigers as one of the more generous favorites on the moneyline.
