Things are looking up for the Jacksonville Jaguars this season. They’ve got a new coach and a franchise quarterback. While they may not be ready to make a run for the AFC South title, they should be productive.
905.5 receiving yards: Over (-115) or Under (-115)
Our pick: Over
It wasn’t exactly a state secret that Chark was slightly frustrated with what happened in Jacksonville last season. Despite some terrible quarterback play and a lame duck coaching staff, he still managed to put up 706 yards in just 13 games. He enters this season with much better circumstances, a new coaching staff that’s got his imposing 6’4 frame bulked up and a talented rookie signal caller in Trevor Lawrence. Chark’s going to be the unquestioned top option in the passing game, and even if the Jags do run a lot (and they likely will), there should be more than enough passes coming his way to push past 905.5 receiving yards.
5.5 receiving TDs: Over (-120) or Under (-110)
Our pick: Over
Chark had five scores last year in 13 games, despite the less-than-ideal circumstances. He got nine looks in the end zone last year too, according to Football Outsiders, and you can bet a big bodied receiver who can out muscle defenders will be just as attractive to the new quarterback.
