The Philadelphia Eagles are officially entering the Jalen Hurts era with new head coach Nick Sirianni introducing an offense built around the quarterback’s rushing abilities. With the NFC East wide open, the Eagles will look to contend for the division title right away.
1000.5 rushing yards: Over (-110) or Under (-120)
Our pick: Over
The Eagles have three running backs likely to get carries in some fashion, while Hurts adds a rushing dimension at the quarterback position. Sanders is certainly the lead back, but will he do enough to surpass 1,000 rushing yards? The Penn State product improved his rushing yards per game in Year 2, but can he keep the same pace? Ultimately, the 17-game schedule should help Sanders barely surpass this mark assuming he stays healthy.
7 rushing TDs: Over (+120) or Under (-150)
Our pick: Under
Boston Scott and Kerryon Johnson are likely to see more goal line action than Sanders, but expect the lead back to get into the endzone a decent amount. This line could ultimately be a push, but the under is the safer play given Sanders’ previous production and some goal-line touches being taken away from him.
