We go over some of the best MLB teams to stack for DFS on DraftKings for Thursday’s main slate.

We have a 14-game schedule in the majors on Thursday, which means there are multiple opportunities to come away with a win in DraftKings baseball DFS. The night slate has 3 games starting at 9:38 p.m. ET.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.

Here, we’ll break down a couple of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Thursday, August 12th.

Padres vs. Diamondbacks, 9:40 p.m. ET

Manny Machado ($5,800)
Jake Cronenworth ($4,100)
Adam Frazier ($3,900)
Eric Hosmer ($3,800)

Since we only have three games to choose from for the late night slate, our stack options are limited. However, the best team stack might be the Padres, who will be taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks will have Taylor Widener on the mound, who has not pitched well at home with a 8.36 ERA and .328 opponents batting average.

Widener just faced the Padres in his last start, where he allowed 4 hits ( 2 HRs), 2 earned runs, but had 7 strikeouts in Arizona’s 6-2 defeat. Hosmer and Frazier could bring a lot of value to this stack as they’ve had the most success against Arizona’s starter. Hosmer has 2 HRs in 5 at-bats, while Frazier is hitting .333 in 6 at-bats. Frazier also quietly has a 7-game hitting streak, where he’s producing 7.71 FPPG.

Rockies vs. Giants, 9:45 p.m. ET

Brandon Crawford ($4,000)
Brandon Belt ($3,900)
Buster Posey ($3,800)
LaMonte Wade Jr. ($2,900)

Our second team stack will be the San Francisco Giants, who are opening up a division series against the Colorado Rockies. The Giants who have been one of the best surprise stories in baseball this season are going up against Rox starter German Marquez. Marquez has been good this season with a 10-8 record and 3.42 ERA. But his ERA has gone up on the road to 4.00 through nine starts.

Just like we had with the Padres’ stack, the Giants’ stack could be powered by two value plays in Buster Posey and Brandon Belt. Posey has been tremendous this season, hitting .336 with 15 HRs, 39 RBI, and averaging 8.7 FPPG. The All-Star catcher has hit a HR in two consecutive games and is scoring 15.5 FPPG in his last four games.
