Just eight days out from SummerSlam, WWE Smackdown on Fox checks in live tonight from the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.

With the big summer event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas within sight, tonight’s episode is slated to put extra emphasis on the three marquee matches that will headline the Smackdown side of the card.

How to watch

Date: Friday, August 13
Time: 8 p.m. ET
Network: Fox
Live stream: FOX.com/live or Fox Now App

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has had his hands full as of late as multiple contenders have stepped to him for his title over the past few weeks. Finn Balor issued another challenge to the “Tribal Chief” at the conclusion of the show last week to which Reigns and his cousins Jimmy and Jey Uso commenced a 3-on-1 beatdown to close the evening. Tonight, the champ will once again come face-to-face with SummerSlam opponent John Cena to further build towards their epic clash in Vegas.

Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair had her hands full last week as well, defeating Zelina Vega in singles while also dealing with the fallout from the surprise attack from Sasha Banks from the week prior. Belair accepted Banks’ challenge for a title fight at SummerSlam, making official a Wrestlemania rematch to take place at Allegiant Stadium. We should see more one-upsmanship from the pair tonight in Tulsa.

After a vicious attack from Seth Rollins, Edge goaded the “Messiah” into accepting a match for SummerSlam. The “Rated R Superstar” insulted Rollins, who appeared via satellite, by calling him “Edge-lite”. This match has to potential to steal the show in Las Vegas so we’ll see how they continue the build towards it.
