The Wyndham Championship is headed into Sunday’s final round with plenty on the line. There is the $6.4 million in prize money that the field will win, topped by $1,152,000 for first place. But for some golfers, the playoff implications are more important.
The Wyndham Championship is the final tournament of the PGA Tour regular season, after which there will be a three-tournament playoff for the FedExCup Playoffs. The top 125 players in the rankings after this tournament qualify for next week’s The Northern Trust. The top 70 following that tournament qualify for the BMW Championship the following weekend. The top 30 at that point qualify for the season-ending TOUR Championship.
But there is still money to be won on Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina. The tournament had a $6.4 million purse in 2020 and it would appear to be the same this year. First place gets $1,152,000, second place gets $697,600, and third place gets $441,600. Below is the current list of estimated payouts for the field at the Wyndham Championship based on last year’s payouts. We’ll update if new information arrives.
