Veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr. has an agreement in place to join the Golden State Warriors in free agency, according to Chris Haynes. He will be playing on the minimum contract, according to Haynes. Porter Jr. had previously signed a four-year, $106 million deal with the Washington Wizards. He was traded to the Chicago Bulls and eventually the Orlando Magic.

The No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft is looking to establish himself as a star after failing to live up to a massive contract last time around. Porter Jr. provides great shooting on the offensive end, but needs to improve as a playmaker and defender. Injuries have recently hurt Porter Jr.’s career. He’s appeared in just 57 games after being traded to Chicago.

The forward averaged 9.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season, but his 37.5 percent clip from deep is the main attraction. In the last three seasons, Porter Jr. has averaged 12.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, shooting 39.6 percent from deep.
