We’ve entered the month of March and with now less than three weeks until SummerSlam, Monday Night Raw comes live tonight from one of the company’s longtime cherished venues at Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont.
The hot crowd will bear witness to a rematch from last week and the return of a legend to confront the champ.
How to watch
Date: Monday, August 2
Time: 8 p.m. ET
Network: Fox
Live stream: USANetwork.com/live or USA Network App
The night following Money in the Bank two weeks ago, WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg returned to challenge WWE Champion Bobby Lashley to a title match at SummerSlam. Following his dismantling former Hurt Business teammates Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin last week, Lashley turned down Goldberg’s challenge, prompting the former WCW superstar to appear on this edition of Raw to meet Lashey face-to-face. With the WWE Universal title match for SummerSlam getting confirmed on Smackdown a few days prior, we’ll most likely get the WWE Championship match set in stone here.
After a triple treat match for the Raw Women’s Championship between Nikki A.S.H., Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley was confirmed for the SummerSlam last week, Flair defeated Nikki in a one-on-one matchup. The two are set to face off again tonight, with this bout being a no-holds barred matchup.
Fresh off dispatching of the Viking Raiders to successfully defend the Raw Tag Team Championships with partner A.J. Styles, Omos will be in singles action tonight when going head-to-head with Riddle. All signs are pointing to a possible return of Randy Orton, who has been away from television since Money in the Bank. His impending return will most likely set up a SummerSlam title match between Styles/Omos and RKBro.
