The English Premier League continues its 2021-22 campaign as action continues with Matchday 2 this weekend, kicking off on Saturday, August 21 with Liverpool playing host to Burnley at 7:30a.m. ET. Last weekend’s opening matches left Manchester United at the top of the table with three points and a +4 goal differential as they downed Leeds 5-1. Chelsea sits in second place for now while Manchester City lost their season opener to Tottenham with a 1-0 score line.
EPL games are usually easy to find on TV, and this season will be no exception. NBC will be showing the majority of the matches, kicking off with big pre-match shows for the opening weekend. You can find most games live on TV on NBCSN and Universo or Telemundo, but you can also stream the games on Peacock, NBC’s exclusive streaming service. Some matches will also be shown on the USA Network on TV, as well as streaming on fubo TV, Sling TV, and Hulu + Live TV as well.
Matchday 2 will be another action-packed weekend highlighted by Chelsea taking on Arsenal as Romelu Lukaku will be set to make his first appearance for the club since being transferred from Inter Milan. He confirmed that he’ll be wearing the number 9 jersey for the Blues after the number’s previous owner Tammy Abraham left the club on a transfer to AS Roma.
Man City will look to gain their first points against Norwich City, and Manchester United will likely stay at the top of the table with an all-but-guaranteed win against Southampton. Bruno Fernandes notched a hat trick in their 5-1 win over Leeds last week as Mason Greenwood and Fred each added a goal of their own.
