The New York Jets hope the Robert Saleh-Zach Wilson era gets off to a great start, but there will certainly be some early rebuilding pains. The Jets have high hopes for Wilson, who was taken No. 2 overall in the 2021 NFL draft.

Zach Wilson’s Week 2 stat line

9/11, 128 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

How did Zach Wilson perform in Week 2?

Wilson looked really good against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2, connecting particularly well with free agent acquisition Corey Davis. He also found Tyler Kroft for two touchdowns in the first half and appears to be developing well in New York.

Wilson is getting comfortable in New York’s offense, which should make Jets fans excited. The BYU product is making the throws he needs to connect on, while also showing mobility and improvisational skills necessary for any franchise quarterback. This is a good development for the rookie.

Wilson is currently +1000 to win Rookie of the Year according to DraftKings Sportsbook. He could offer tremendous value at that number given his immediate playing time and development trajectory.
