Race day update: There is a chance of scattered thunderstorms around 3-6 p.m. With the green flag dropping at 3 p.m. for the Go Bowling at the Glen race, things could get a little messy. Accuweather shows shows potential for thunderstorms in the 3 p.m. hour while the National Weather Service suggests the biggest chance for rain is after 4 p.m.

NASCAR is heading down to the Watkins Glen International for a full weekend of racing after a brief hiatus due to the Tokyo Summer Olympics. To wrap up race weekend, the Cup Series will run the Go Bowling at the Glen race at 3:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.
