Week 15 will get underway on Thursday, December 15. This week’s edition of Thursday Night Football will see the San Francisco 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West battle. Kickoff from Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington is set for 8:15 p.m. ET, with the game airing on Amazon Prime Video.

Injuries

The 49ers have ruled out QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot), DT Kevin Givens (knee), S Tarvarius Moore (knee), DT Hassan Ridgeway (pectoral), WR Deebo Samuel (ankle, knee) and CB Samuel Womack (concussion). Defensive end Kerry Hyder (ankle), QB Brock Purdy (oblique, rib) and CB Ambry Thomas (ankle) are all questionable.

Seattle has yet to rule out any players. Safety Joey Blount (back), CB Tre Brown (illness), RB DeeJay Dallas (ankle), S Ryan Neal (knee) and DT Al Woods (Achilles) are all listed as questionable for the game.

Captain’s Chair

Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers — $17,100

McCaffrey has helped to turn around the offense for the Niners, and the team hasn’t lost a game with him on the roster. With wide receiver Deebo Samuel already being ruled out for this game, CMC is going to have to step up. He’s the most expensive player on the slate, but his rushing and receiving abilities give him upside.

Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks — $15,300

Don’t look now, but Lockett has scored in six straight games. He has benefitted from defenses focusing on teammate DK Metcalf, and his rapport with quarterback Geno Smith is apparent. With the 49ers giving up the 10th most DFS points per game to opposing wide receivers, Lockett is worthy of a Captain’s Chair.

Value Plays

49ers D/ST — $5,000

The San Francisco defense has been one of the better units in the league. This choice may be from PTSD of terrible Thursday night games, but we are used to seeing a defense shine in this time slot. The Seahawks are giving up middle-of-the-road numbers to opponents’ D/ST units.

Robbie Gould, K, 49ers — $4,000

Speaking of Thursday night PTSD, there is seemingly always value to be had with one of the kickers in this weekly primetime slot. Gould is my pick because the 49ers' offense should still be able to get down the field even without Jimmy Garaoppolo and Deebo Samuel. I think Brock Purdy has been impressive in relief, but I think the team could struggle to get all the way into the endzone giving Gould more looks.
