We have made it to Week 15 of the NFL season. The NFC West will be on display for Thursday Night Football as the San Francisco 49ers hit the road to take on the Seattle Seahawks. Kickoff from Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington is set for 8:15 p.m. ET, and the game will air on Amazon Prime Video.
We’ll take you through some starts and sits for this Thursday night matchup.
Tyler Lockett, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Lockett has scored a touchdown in six straight games. The one place that the 49ers' defense is suspect of getting beat is from wide receivers. They are allowing the 11th most fantasy points per game, so Lockett has upside opposite DK Metcalf in this game.
Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Credit is due for the Seattle Seahawks' defense, as they are allowing only the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game. For Aiyuk, he should be the biggest beneficiary of teammate Deebo Samuel missing the game. Even if Aiyuk doesn’t tally a ton of yards, he at least has upside from an expected high target share and is coming off a game where he scored a touchdown.
Geno Smith, QB, Seattle Seahawks
Smith has been thrown around in the MVP conversation, and he has used solid outings from Lockett and Metcalf to rise up the fantasy football ranks. San Francisco is giving up the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game, and with no teams on bye, see if you can find someone with a better matchup.
Kenneth Walker, RB, Seattle Seahawks
Listen, I get it. You’re probably going to play Walker if you have him but really think about it. Walker has been great at times this season, but he has been bad and hurt over the last three games he has played. Walker scored two touchdowns against the Las Vegas Raiders two games ago, but he only had 26 rushing yards. If you want to bank on a score, fine, but the 49ers are giving up the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.
