Following four receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 13, Noah Fant failed to haul in a single catch in the Seattle Seahawks Week 14 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks TE Noah Fant
It appears that the Seahawks now favor the wide receivers over involving the tight ends on a given week. Fant is essentially the fourth pass-catching weapon, at best, behind DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Marquise Goodwin. The latter recorded 15 combined catches on 25 targets last week against the Panthers.
Fant, along with fellow tight end Will Dissly have been highly inconsistent this season, which always makes it a complete gamble to start either one in fantasy football. Dissly finished fourth on the team in receiving with two catches for 20 yards last Sunday. That said, neither tight end can be trusted in these do-or-die stages of fantasy playoffs. Fant and Dissly rank outside of the top 20 in fantasy football until we see more consistency.
Start or sit in Week 15?
Bench Fant in Week 15 against the 49ers’ stout defense, despite the possibility of a heavy passing game.
