Game day update: Walker is officially ACTIVE for Thursday night’s game. He has a tough matchup against the 49ers, but at least should assume his role as leading the backfield.

The Seattle Seahawks will welcome back rookie running Kenneth Walker for their Thursday Night Football clash with the NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers.
The star second-rounder missed the Seahawks’ 30-24 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 14.
What does Walker’s return mean for those ever-so-lucky fantasy football teams who made their league’s playoff?
Fantasy football implications
While the Seahawks' running game has struggled recently, that should improve immensely with Walker getting healthy. Unfortunately for fantasy football managers who roster him, Walker has an incredibly tough matchup against the Niners on a short week.
Walker should immediately regain his starting job, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s eased back into action and shares snaps with running back Travis Homer, who could operate as the team’s pass-catching back, which would hurt Walker’s upside this week.
Hopefully, Walker managers have better options on their roster in what is most likely the first round of fantasy football playoffs. If you’re forced to start him, then the only hope for him is to bust a big run or hit paydirt.
