Sunday’s afternoon slate features several appetizing matchups with contending NL West teams going head to head and the NL Central-leading Cardinals looking to push their winning run to five games.

Top Pitchers

Clayton Kershaw, Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants ($10,000) — The price point is high, but Kershaw is arguably the best pitcher in baseball. He’s more than capable to delivering a strong outing in a pivotal game against a division rival. Kershaw is a no-brainer start.

Cole Irvin, Oakland Athletics vs. Los Angeles Angels ($7,800) — Irvin has been steady this season with a 3.92 ERA in 10 starts. He isn’t an ace by any means, but Irvin can be a decent play against an Angels team struggling to score runs in the last three games.

Top Hitters

Nolan Arenado, St. Louis Cardinals vs. Arizona Diamondbacks ($5,500) — Arenado has been a star for St. Louis, hitting .279 with 11 home runs and 34 RBI. He’s a good bet to put up big numbers against the Diamondbacks.

Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants ($5,400) — Muncy has been a monster for the Dodgers this year and more importantly, he’s crushed the Giants. In six games against San Francisco, Muncy is averaging 12.8 FPPG and hitting .368.

Value Pitcher

Kwang Hyun Kim, St. Louis Cardinals vs. Arizona Diamondbacks ($7,200) — He’s not exactly amazing value at $7,200, but Kim has a great matchup against one of the worst teams in baseball. His 3.21 ERA is solid and he’s coming off a decent outing against the White Sox.

Value Hitter

Matt Olson, Oakland Athletics vs. Los Angeles Angels ($4,700) — Olson has 13 home runs on the season and will face Jose Quintana, who has a 7.92 ERA this season. He’s struggled in the current series, but lit up the Angels in the previous set. He’s a good play for the price.
