Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Monday’s NBA slate.

There is officially less than a month remaining the in the NBA’s regular season. Where does the time go? To celebrate this mundane and useless fact, we’ve got an eight-game featured slate tonight on DraftKings.

Let’s dive in and find some values on the hardcourt.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $300K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max]

SG Sam Merrill, Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers, $4,200

There’s a couple different ways you can use the Cavaliers on Monday. The safest option? Probably Isaac Okoro ($4,900), who would be my guess to re-join the team’s starting lineup with Donovan Mitchell (nose) sidelined. However, while Okoro should be a lock to log well over 30 minutes, the former lottery pick hasn’t always been the most efficient DFS asset. Craig Porter Jr. ($3,300) is also viable — mostly due to his microscopic price tag — yet he lacks a serious ceiling with Darius Garland ($7,600) still available. So if that first porridge is too hot and that second porridge is too cold, where’s the one that’s just right? That would be Merrill. The guard is averaging 13.0 points, 5.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 30.0 DKFP in his last two games, seeing 28 minutes both times. Merrill’s role certainly won’t get smaller with the aforementioned Mitchell ruled out and this is a nice matchup against a Pacers squad that sits second in the NBA in pace (102.5). Again, all three can be used in lineups, but Merrill is my top choice.

PF Nic Batum, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami Heat, $4,200

I’ll be 100% honest: Batum is and has always been a flawed DFS asset. However, the veteran is likely to draw his second consecutive start on Monday with Tobias Harris ($7,100; ankle) unable to practice in the last 24 hours. With Harris sitting in street clothes for Saturday’s victory over the Hornets, Batum stuffed the stat sheet, finishing with 34.0 DKFP in 37.0 minutes — the second-most of any Philadelphia player. Batum isn’t going to be a high-usage option for the 76ers, that responsibility will fall to Tyrese Maxey ($8,600), Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,300) and Buddy Hield ($5,500), yet the veteran does contribute in every category. Batum’s also slightly more trustworthy than Kyle Lowry ($4,900) at this point in the duo’s respective careers, especially with Lowry being $700 more expensive for this evening’s slate.

C Luke Kornet, Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons, $5,000

This is going to be a game deserving of your attention throughout the day, as both teams come into Monday on the second leg of a back-to-back set. In particular, it’s Boston that’s truly worth monitoring, as the team appeared to “rest” some key players during Sunday’s easy win over Washington. As such, I’d expect Jaylen Brown ($8,400; ankle) and Derrick White ($7,100; hand) to return to action against Detroit, though it’s unclear if it’ll now be time for Jayson Tatum ($9,900) or Jrue Holiday ($6,700) to get a little break. One thing is for sure: Al Horford will not be suiting up this evening. I would also be surprised to see Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring), who has not appeared in a contest since March 7 due to injury. That leaves Kornet as the last big man standing in a matchup with a Pistons squad that is surrendering the fifth-most DKFP per game to opposing centers. Kornet is averaging 34.9 DKFP in his opportunities to start in 2023-24. Don’t overthink this.

Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Friday’s NBA slate.

Tonight’s six-game NBA slate isn’t exactly appointment viewing. Every game but one features a team headed for the top of the lottery, and that Clippers-Pelicans tilt could be marred by injury. I guess it’s a good thing we have DFS to keep us engaged, right?

Let’s dig deep and find some values for Friday evening.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $350K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max ] (Non Late Swap)

For up-to-the-minute news, analysis and lineups, download the DK Network app. You also can follow DK Network on Twitter @dknetwork.

PG Bones Hyland, Los Angeles Clippers at New Orleans Pelicans, $4,300

Welcome to Bones Hyland chalk night. An asset with extremely high projected ownership is an interesting thing. On the one hand, you generally want to avoid such spots, as variance is such a crucial element of DFS. However, on occasion, there’s simply chalk that is too tempting to pass up. I think this is one of those situations. Hyland drew a start on Thursday against the Bulls, as James Harden ($8,700; shoulder) sat due to injury. Postgame, Harden said his status was uncertain for Friday, and I could certainly see a scenario where the Clippers decide to be cautious with their point guard. Heck, Kawhi Leonard ($8,500) has also recently been dealing with back spasms. There’s a non-zero chance that he’s listed on tonight’s injury report, too. Hyland logged 31.6 minutes versus Chicago, finishing with 17 points, 11 assists and 50.75 DKFP. He led Los Angeles with 75 touches. If Harden sits again, you’ll need to have some exposure.

PG/SG Vit Krejci, Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz, $3,900

I’m not here to tell lies about Krejci. I’m not here to pump his tires and say he’ll flirt with 40.0 or 50.0 DKFP on Friday. The fact of the matter is Krejci is a low-usage piece, who happens to be getting major minutes in the Hawks’ rotation at the moment. Take Wednesday’s loss to Portland as a perfect example. Krejci started and logged 31.3 minutes with a microscopic 8.2% usage rate. It’s definitely not ideal. However, with Bogdan Bogdanovic ($6,700; illness) now questionable and threatening to join Trae Young (finger) and Saddiq Bey (knee) on the sideline, Atlanta is just running out of warm bodies. Not to mention Jalen Johnson ($7,600; ankle), who is questionable and on the cusp of missing his fourth straight contest. Krejci is going to be on the court tonight. A lot. In a game with this slate’s highest implied total and in a matchup with a Jazz squad that owns the Western Conference’s worst defensive rating (119.1). Considering his price tag, Krejci has to at least be mentioned.

SF Brice Sensabaugh, Utah Jazz vs. Atlanta Hawks, $4,800

In a vacuum, the best way to attack the Jazz on Friday is to exploit the mid-tier. With Jordan Clarkson (groin) and Kris Dunn (rest) already ruled out, Utah has a ton of minutes open in the backcourt, which should lead to massive workloads for both Collin Sexton ($7,300) and Keyonte George ($6,600). In fact, with George having exceeded 40.0 DKFP in each of his last three full games, the rookie might just be my favorite play on the whole slate. Still, George isn’t cheap enough to be a true “value” option, so let’s move to another first-year piece on the Jazz. Sensabaugh has started the team’s last three contests, registering at least 15 points in both games where he logged 30-plus minutes. Utah is extremely thin at both the two and three on Friday. I’m not sure I see a scenario where Sensabaugh doesn’t reach that 30-minute threshold, which means he’s viable in what should be a high-scoring affair.

Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Wednesday’s NBA slate.

We continue our on-going and never-ending hunt for value this evening with a seven-game featured NBA slate on DraftKings. We’re in the final stretch of the regular season, which means even more IR chaos than usual for teams sitting outside the playoff picture — especially if said teams are also on the second night of a back-to-back. I’m looking at you, the Grizzlies. Keep that in mind while building lineups.

Let’s dive in.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $300K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max]

SG/SF Gradey Dick, Toronto Raptors at Detroit Pistons, $4,800

In terms of raw fantasy success, Dick is on the heels of his best career game in the NBA, registering 37.0 DKFP in a loss to the Nuggets on Monday. Depending on how the Raptors’ IR shakes out this afternoon, the rookie could be looking at an even bigger opportunity on Wednesday. Not only is this a great matchup on paper — the Pistons rank 29th in the league in defensive rating (119.1) — but there are very few high-usage assets left on Toronto’s active roster. Scottie Barnes (hand), Jakob Poeltl (finger) and Chris Boucher (knee) remain sidelined, while RJ Barrett (personal) will join his teammates in street clothes this evening. Then there’s Immanuel Quickley ($8,500; hip) and Gary Trent Jr. ($5,600; groin), who are questionable after sitting out against Denver. Regardless of which players end up available, Dick should see his third consecutive start. He should log over 36 minutes yet again. At this price, in Detroit, that’s more than enough to be viable.

SF/PF Simone Fontecchio, Detroit Pistons vs. Toronto Raptors, $5,100

This Raptors-Pistons tilt actually owns this slate’s highest implied total, so let’s double-dip on value. Fontecchio has been playing extremely well since being traded to Detroit, averaging 15.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, all while shooting 43.0% from three-point range. He’s started six of his 13 contests with the Pistons, including Monday’s commanding victory over the Hornets, where Fontecchio logged an eye-popping 37.1 minutes with Ausar Thompson ($5,600; illness) unavailable. In fact, Fontecchio is averaging 39.5 DKFP in his last two appearances — both games where Thompson was either out or extremely limited. Coincidence? I think not. Thompson is questionable to return to action on Wednesday. If he’s sidelined again, Fontecchio is an easy option at just $5.1K, particularly in such an uptempo environment. Toronto ranks first in the league in pace over its last 10 contests (101.8).

C Trey Jemison, Memphis Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets, $4,300

It’s currently unclear if either Jaren Jackson Jr. ($8,600; quad) or Vince Williams Jr. ($6,700; knee) will return for tonight’s matchup with the Hornets, but I certainly have my doubts. I’d also be surprised to see John Konchar ($4,800; ankle) and Luke Kennard ($5,200; knee) play both legs of a back-to-back set. I guess what I’m trying to say is this: Memphis’ rotation is a mess and there’s going to be value somewhere. To me, Jemison seems like the best bet. The rookie was instrumental to the Grizzlies picking up a victory on Tuesday, scoring a career-high 24 points, while adding six rebounds and a pair of blocks. That all equated out to 34.0 DKFP in only 31.1 minutes of work. If Jackson Jr. is ruled out again on Wednesday, Jemison should remain in the starting five. Considering Charlotte is just as undersized and underwhelming as Washington, I could see Jemison having a similar level of success.

Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Monday’s NBA slate.

Well, we’ve got a six-game featured NBA slate this evening and everyone’s questionable. I’m questionable. You’re questionable. Jayson Tatum ($9,500; ankle) is questionable. One of those may be more important than the other...

Let’s dive in and find some values.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $350K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max]

SG/SF Gradey Dick, Toronto Raptors at Denver Nuggets, $4,600

It took awhile, but Dick is finally starting to show the flashes of offensive pop that made him a lottery pick less than a year ago. To wit, the rookie has scored in double-figures in five of his last eight games. Dick is also shooting 41.7% on threes dating back to the beginning of January — a skill that was the wing’s calling card in college. Still, viability in DFS isn’t simply about efficiency. In fact, it’s mostly about volume and opportunity. Fortunately for Dick, he’s remained healthy and the rest of Toronto’s roster is dropping like flies. Joining Scottie Barnes (hand) and Jakob Poeltl (finger) on the Raptors’ IR on Monday are RJ Barrett ($7,600; illness), Bruce Brown ($4,800; knee) and Chris Boucher ($4,200; knee), who are all questionable to suit up. With Barrett and Brown sidelined during Saturday’s loss to Portland, Dick earned his second start of his career, logging a season-high 39.1 minutes. If the same scenario plays out this evening, get Dick in a couple of lineups.

PG Payton Pritchard, Boston Celtics at Portland Trail Blazers, $3,800

The 49-win Celtics, who are nine games up in the loss column on every other team in the Eastern Conference, travel west to take on the lowly, lottery-bound Trail Blazers this evening. Let roster hijinks ensue! Boston has listed 80% of its usual starting lineup as questionable, including the aforementioned Tatum, Jaylen Brown ($7,800; pelvis), Derrick White ($6,600; hand) and Jrue Holiday ($6,100; knee). The other 20%? That would be Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) and he’s already been ruled out. You can see where this trending. It’s unclear if any of the four assets currently holding a questionable tag will end up playing on Monday, yet logic suggests this is going to be a massive game for the Celtics’ bench. The best value on the team will depend on the final IR, but Pritchard’s ceiling is the highest of any Boston reserve. Luke Kornet ($3,300) also deserves a special mention, as he’s posted at least 30.0 DKFP in both his starts in 2023-24.

Okoro has often found himself in this article, as the Cavaliers have dealt with injuries throughout the regular season. Currently, it’s Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Evan Mobley (ankle) that headline Cleveland’s IR, with Max Strus ($5,700; knee), Darius Garland ($8,000; wrist) and Dean Wade ($4,000; personal) all question marks on this second night of a back-to-back. Basically, the Cavaliers’ rotation is an absolute mess at the moment. Still, Okoro has been a constant during these turbulent times. The former fifth-overall pick is back in Cleveland’s starting five and he’s averaged 34.7 minutes over the team’s last five contests, exceeding 25.0 DKFP four times. Okoro’s DFS value is certainly more about his sturdy floor than a high ceiling; however, if another high-usage piece like Garland is forced to the sidelines, Okoro could be asked to do more. Craig Porter Jr. ($3,300) is another name to keep an eye on as we get closer to tip-off.

Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Friday’s NBA slate.

It’s an east coast bias kind of night on DraftKings, as this evening’s six-game featured slate does not include the 10:00 p.m. ET tip-offs in Portland or Los Angeles. Don’t fret. There’s still more than enough value in the early games. You just have to know where to look.

Let’s dive in.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $300K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max]

C Richaun Holmes, Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Hornets, $3,700

With Marvin Bagley III (back) sidelined for Wednesday’s loss to the Magic, the Wizards decided to start small with Corey Kispert ($4,400) inserted into the starting five. It’s possible Kispert will start again on Friday, yet that doesn’t mean Holmes won’t have a role as Washington’s last remaining big. Holmes logged 25.0 minutes off the bench against Orlando, racking up 12 points, five rebounds, two steals and 25.25 DKFP. Yes, the Hornets tend to play much smaller than the Magic, but this remains a tantalizing matchup for an asset priced this far below $4K. Not only does this contest own this slate’s highest implied total, but the Hornets are surrendering the sixth-most DKFP per game to opposing centers. Holmes’ size should allow him to dominate an under-sized Charlotte squad.

SF/PF Isaac Okoro, Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves, $4,700

The Cavaliers will remain without three starters on Friday, with Max Strus (knee) once again joining Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Evan Mobley (ankle) on the sideline. In turn, that opens the door for Okoro to stay in Cleveland’s starting lineup — a role where he’s recently thrived. To wit, the former lottery pick has started each of the Cavaliers’ past four games. In that same stretch, Okoro is averaging 15.5 points and 28.8 DKFP per contest, contributing in every single statistical category. Okoro’s also logged at least 30.0 minutes in his last three appearances. If you really need to save some salary, you could take a chance with Georges Niang ($4,000) or Dean Wade ($3,800), yet Okoro seems like the best mix of ceiling and floor with a price tag below $5K.

SF/PF De’Andre Hunter, Atlanta Hawks at Memphis Grizzlies, $5,000

I would be shocked if Hunter doesn’t find himself starting tonight’s tilt against the Grizzlies. Atlanta has been methodical in bringing back the former lottery pick from a mid-season injury, but with Jalen Johnson (ankle) now joining Trae Young (finger) and Onyeka Okongwu (toe) in street clothes, it doesn’t seem like the team has much choice. The kid gloves come all the way off on Friday in Memphis. It’s also not like Hunter’s play hasn’t been deserving of a bigger runway. Dating back to February 12, Hunter has translated a 23.5% usage rate into an eye-popping .675 true shooting percentage and 1.03 DKFP per minute — better than Johnson’s 1.01 DKFP across the same span of time. For all their faults, the Grizzlies do remain a top 10 defense in the league by points allowed per 100 possessions, but Hunter’s increased opportunity is more important than an underwhelming matchup.

Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Wednesday’s NBA slate.

Another day, another featured NBA slate with huge question marks. This time around, we’re waiting on clarity for Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,500; Achilles), who is questionable after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Clippers. Aside from that? There’s five teams on the second night of a back-to-back. Isn’t that fun?

Let’s dive into the madness and try and find some values.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $350K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max]

PF/C Dean Wade, Cleveland Cavaliers at Atlanta Hawks, $3,200

It’s insane to think we’ve reached a place where Dean Wade might be chalk on an eight-game slate, but welcome to March in the modern NBA. Injuries are once again pilling up for the Cavaliers, as Evan Mobley ($7,800; ankle) exited Tuesday’s win over the Celtics with a pretty significant looking sprain. I assume the former lottery pick will be joining Donovan Mitchell (knee) on the sideline for the foreseeable future. Enter Wade, who played hero against Boston, registering 20 points and six rebounds in the fourth quarter alone. The 27-year-old is a strong candidate to re-join Cleveland’s starting five on Wednesday, especially if Max Strus ($6,100; knee) misses his second straight contest. Isaac Okoro ($4,700) is another name to keep an eye on for the Cavaliers, as he’s exceeded 30.0 DKFP in each of the team’s last two games; however, Wade is slightly more viable due to his almost bare minimum price tag.

PF/C Luka Samanic, Utah Jazz vs. Chicago Bulls, $3,500

Speaking of teams hit hard by the injury bug, let’s break down the Jazz’s IR woes heading into Wednesday’s tilt with the Bulls. Utah has already ruled out leading scorer Lauri Markkanen (quad) and he’ll be joined on the pine by fellow bigs Taylor Hendricks (toe) and Walker Kessler (foot). Then there’s Keyonte George ($6,700; illness), who is questionable to suit up after logging just 5.5 minutes in Monday’s victory over Washington. If George sits, the Jazz would need two new starters, which would open the door for someone like Kris Dunn ($4,000) or Brice Sensabaugh ($3,400) to be viable. Still, I’ll just lean with the guy already in the starting five. Samanic drew his first start of the season versus the Wizards, logging 23.0 minutes and finishing with 17.0 DKFP. Was the performance underwhelming? Sure. However, he was just 2-for-9 from the field and he’s about the only interior option Utah has left at it’s disposal. I’m willing to give Samanic another chance — especially at this price.

SG Dalano Banton, Portland Trail Blazers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, $4,400

Banton has always been an interesting prospect, with elite size for a lead guard. It’s simply that the former second-round pick hasn’t received much opportunity at the NBA level to stretch that impressive wingspan. At least, that was the case until this past Monday, when injuries forced Banton into the Blazers’ starting lineup. As you would expect, Banton did not shoot well against the Timberwolves — he was 1-for-6 from three and 35% from the field — yet that didn’t stop the 24-year-old from posting 32.75 DKFP in a career-high 33.3 minutes of action. Banton’s 30.5% usage rate was also second to only Anfernee Simons ($8,200). So long as Jerami Grant ($7,200; quad) and Matisse Thybulle ($4,000; hip) remain on the sideline Wednesday, I can’t see a reason why Banton wouldn’t have a similar role in a matchup with the Thunder.

Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Monday’s NBA slate.

Values. Bargains. Deals. These are all words that prove I know how to use a thesaurus. They are also why you’re reading this article.

Let’s dive into tonight’s six-game featured NBA slate and find some places to save.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $350K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max]

PF/C Jabari Walker, Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves, $4,700

As it often is, the Blazers’ injury report is quite lengthy on Monday. Both Deandre Ayton ($6,900; hand) and Matisse Thybulle ($4,000; hip) are questionable to suit up — the former has already missed the team’s last two games — while Jerami Grant ($7,200; quad) is doubtful after leaving Saturday’s win against Memphis early. So, there’s a couple different ways you could go with this roster. Duop Reath ($5,100) would remain viable if Ayton sits for a third straight contest, though Reath’s price tag has crept above $5K. Former G League standout Ashton Hagans ($4,000) is also worth considering, on the heels of a career-high 35.25 DKFP. Still, for my money, Walker is the best value option on the board. Walker averaged 1.46 DKFP per minute in Portland’s back-to-back set this past weekend, posting a double-double in both games. The 21-year-old is fantastic on the glass, as his 16.5% total rebounding rate is the second-best qualified mark on the Blazers for the season as a whole. If Walker ends up starting in Grant’s place, the sky is the limit.

PF Taylor Hendricks, Utah Jazz vs. Washington Wizards, $4,900

The Jazz have had one clear mantra since the trade deadline: The youth movement has begun. By shipping Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji to Toronto, the runway was clear to start giving heavy minutes to both Keyonte George ($6,300) and Hendricks, with the latter having been out of the rotation entirely prior to February. A few weeks later? Hendricks has started five straight contests for Utah, which includes Saturday’s loss to Miami, a night where the former lottery pick pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds. We could be looking at a similar type of performance on Monday. Not only are the Wizards surrendering the most DKFP per game to opposing power forwards in 2023-24, but Lauri Markkanen (quad) has been ruled out — the man who leads Utah in field goal attempts (16.0) and points (23.1) per contest. That should mean more offensive opportunity for Hendricks and possibly a spot start for Talen Horton-Tucker ($3,600). However, THT’s upside is diluted by the presence of Jordan Clarkson ($6,200; illness), who is set to return from his own one-game absence.

SG/SF Norman Powell, Los Angeles Clippers at Milwaukee Bucks, $5,100

Powell is going to be a good play on this slate, it’s just a matter of how good. In Sunday’s win over the Timberwolves, Powell was vital to the Clippers’ success. In fact, his 24 points were second to Kawhi Leonard ($9,000), while his 24.3% usage trailed only Leonard and Paul George ($8,200). With Russell Westbrook (hand) out for the foreseeable future, this is Los Angeles’ new reality. Powell is no longer a luxury on this roster, he’s a necessity as a high-impact sixth man. Heck, he might need to be even more than that against the Bucks. The aforementioned victory versus Minnesota was an absolute rock fight with playoff intensity. Leonard logged 38.3 minutes, while George played 34.4. I wouldn’t be shocked to see either pop up on the Clippers’ injury report for this evening’s tilt, which opens the possibility of Powell drawing his second start of 2023-24. Make sure to keep an eye on this situation throughout the day.

C Duop Reath, Portland Trail Blazers at Memphis Grizzlies, $4,200

Well, Deandre Ayton ($7,100; hand) is hurt again. I know. We’re all incredibly shocked. The former first-overall pick left Tuesday’s loss to Miami with a left hand sprain and the big man is now doubtful to suit up on Friday evening in Memphis. More than likely, this will all shake out to Reath starting his 12th game of the season for the Blazers. The 27-year-old rookie has been quite solid for Portland, so much so that Reath received a three-year standard contract from the team just prior to the All-Star break. Reath is averaging 12.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in 26.4 minutes as a starter in 2023-24. In terms of ceiling, Reath has twice exceeded 40.0 DKFP, with his season-high of 43.25 DKFP coming as a starter back on January 7. There’s a chance Moses Brown ($3,900; wrist) will return to the Blazers against the Grizzlies, but considering he hasn’t played in two months, he’d surely be on a restriction. His impact on Reath’s viability would be minimal at best.

PG Jordan Goodwin, Memphis Grizzlies vs. Portland Trail Blazers, $4,700

Every Grizzlies’ injury report is an adventure and Friday’s does not disappoint. Luke Kennard ($4,300; illness) and John Konchar ($4,100; thumb) are doubtful and should remain sidelined, where they’ll now be joined by both Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad) and Derrick Rose (back). For those of you counting on your fingers at home, that doesn’t leave many healthy rotation players for Memphis. Jackson’s absence looms largest — particularly on the heels of scoring 33 points with 13 rebounds during Wednesday’s loss to the Timberwolves. Heck, Jackson’s usage rate in February was a team-high 35.6%. Needless to say, there’s suddenly a lot of open opportunity to spread around. GG Jackson ($4,800; quad) is a tantalizing asset, but only if he can suit up through his own questionable tag. The safer option might be Goodwin, who should draw another start after logging 31.4 minutes in Minnesota. Despite scoring a mere five points on 1-for-8 shooting, Goodwin collected 30.5 DKFP in a matchup with the NBA’s top defense. Just think what he can do versus the lowly Blazers.

SG/SF Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Sacramento Kings, $3,900

There are levels to Alexander-Walker’s viability on Friday. At the very least, the guard is Minnesota’s established sixth-man, looked upon to be a microwave scorer off the bench. To wit, in 24.3 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies, Alexander-Walker registered 12 points, five assists and 29.25 DKFP. His role should also be slightly larger than usual with Kyle Anderson ($4,300; knee) still hobbled and doubtful to play on Friday. However, at most, Alexander-Walker could be one of this slate’s more intriguing assets priced below $4K — it simply comes down to the health of Anthony Edwards ($8,800; ankle). Edwards has been able to play through a few recent questionable tags, yet you have to think the All-Star will take a break at some point soon. If that is this evening, Alexander-Walker would start in his place. In his last four cracks in the starting five, NAW is averaging 24.9 DKFP.

Garion Thorne breaks down his top DraftKings value plays for Wednesday’s NBA slate.

The NBA schedule remains a little messed up coming out of the All-Star break. Need evidence? How about a six-game slate on a Wednesday with five teams on the second night of a back-to-back set? Is that weird enough for you?

Make sure to keep an eye on breaking news throughout the day, but at the moment, here’s a few names to consider as value options for this evening’s festivities.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $350K Micro-Max [$100K to 1st, 150 Entry Max]

SF Jake LaRavia, Memphis Grizzlies at Minnesota Timberwolves, $3,600

Keeping track of all the Grizzlies’ injuries can be daunting, so let me once again get you up to speed. Putting aside the litany of long-term ailments that have designated Memphis to a lottery bound campaign, tonight’s injury report features Luke Kennard (illness), who has been ruled out, and John Konchar ($4,200; thumb), who is doubtful. As you can imagine, that doesn’t leave Taylor Jenkins with a lot of appealing rotation options. The trio of GG Jackson ($4,700), Lamar Stevens ($4,300) and LaRavia should all be looking at expanded roles on Wednesday, with one of the three likely replacing Kennard in the starting five. Despite back-to-back underwhelming performances, it’s Jackson that carries the biggest upside as a DFS asset, yet don’t sleep on the elevated floor of LaRavia. The former first-round pick led all Grizzlies’ bench players in minutes in Monday’s loss to Brooklyn (27.7), registering a season-high 25.75 DKFP. It also doesn’t hurt LaRavia’s case that he’s by far the cheapest.

SG/SF Norman Powell, Los Angeles Clippers vs. Los Angeles Lakers, $4,800

Even with Paul George (knee) sidelined, the Clippers have their fair share of mouths to feed. Kawhi Leonard ($8,700) remains the no. 1 option on the floor. Russell Westbrook ($5,300) is a high-usage option off the bench. In fact, it’s James Harden ($8,400) that’s tended to benefit the most from George’s prior absences, producing a team-high 1.30 DKFP per minute with his All-Star teammate off the court so far in 2023-24. However, while Harden is certainly viable on this slate, he’s not a value. That’s where Powell comes in. In his first start of the season on Sunday, Powell logged 37.0 minutes, collecting 21 points and 30.5 DKFP in the process. It was the third straight contest where Powell had put up at least 19 points and 25.0 DKFP. The wing needs to have an efficient scoring performance to be relevant in fantasy, as he doesn’t contribute consistently in secondary categories, but Powell will once again play a significant role on Wednesday in what should be a highly contested game script.

C Kelly Olynyk, Toronto Raptors vs. Dallas Mavericks, $4,900

Olynyk’s viability on tonight’s slate is pretty dependant on the health of Jakob Poeltl ($6,100; ankle). The Raptors’ starting center left Monday’s win against Indiana with a left ankle issue, the same ankle that Poeltl sprained in January that forced him to miss 11 games. He’s officially listed as questionable for this evening’s tilt versus the Mavericks, yet I wouldn’t be surprised to see Toronto exercise some caution. In such a scenario, Olynyk would be the only big man remaining in the Raptors’ usual rotation, though Chris Boucher ($3,600) would surely see some minutes in an emergency role. Olynyk has been quite solid since being traded to Canada, averaging 1.13 DKFP per minute in his six contests with Toronto. If he starts, he’ll rightfully be quite popular.

Garion Thorne breaks down his favorite Race to 10 Wins futures for the 2024 MLB season on the DraftKings Sportsbook.

I love MLB futures, yet even I’ll admit the waiting is a pain. Heck, you might end up not knowing the result of a bet made in February until the end of October. As a card carrying Millennial — the generation that made ADHD cool — that just isn’t ideal.

Yet have no fear! The DraftKings Sportsbook has a myriad of ways to bet on baseball in 2024, including which team will be the first to 10 wins. That’s what we’ll be diving into today.

Race to 10 Wins

Orioles (+3000)

If you’re looking for this year’s Rays, I don’t think you have to stray outside the AL East. Thanks to the league’s new balanced schedule, the Orioles are playing fewer games against New York, Tampa Bay and Toronto. In fact, Baltimore won’t see any of its divisional rivals aside from the underwhelming Red Sox until the Yankees visit Camden Yards on April 29. In the meantime, the Orioles will square-off with the likes of the Angels, Royals and Pirates. Like, a lot. To be specific, 62.5% of Baltimore’s first 24 contests see those three teams as competition — teams that combined for a .422 winning percentage in 2023. The other nine opponents that kick off the Orioles’ campaign? Three nights in Boston and a pair of home series versus Minnesota and Milwaukee. Needless to say, even with the uncertainty surrounding Kyle Bradish, Baltimore is going to get off to a strong start.

The elephant in the room is the looming presence of the Dodgers (+270). Not only did Los Angeles go out and sign almost every big name free agent on the market this offseason, but the Dodgers and Padres will travel to South Korea to take part in a two-game regular season series a full week before any other team takes the field. Because of this, Los Angeles will play its 10th contest of 2024 on April 5 — the same day the Orioles will play their seventh. It’s a massive advantage and its clearly been factored into DraftKings’ lines. However, while that explains the Dodgers as massive favorites, it doesn’t explain why Baltimore is tied for only the league’s 15th-best odds. After all, this is a squad that won 101 games just last year.

I believe there’s value in Baltimore regardless of the scheduling quirks, but if you want a way to hedge, DraftKings is also offering the Orioles to start 5-0 at +700. This way, you’re not worrying about timelines. You can simply focus on Baltimore independently winning five home games where it will surely be favored each and every time.

Tigers (+5000)

Let’s get absolutely wild. I know the Tigers are picking up steam as a stealth candidate to win the always wide-open AL Central, but there’s more to this team than some winter buzz. In particular, it’s the team’s rotation that has me starting to pay attention. Detroit spent some dough this offseason to bring in solid veterans like Jack Flaherty and Kenta Maeda, yet it’s the in-house options that have me tantalized. Tarik Skubal is everyone’s fantasy baseball infatuation in 2024, and the young lefty has only made people fall more in love early this spring by hitting triple-digits in his side sessions. Then there’s the trio of Matt Manning, Casey Mize and Reese Olson, who all either posted eye-opening results in 2023 or still have enough prospect pedigree to dream upon. If you’re going to stack up wins quickly in the regular season, a deep pitching staff is usually the best path to success.

Then there’s the Tigers’ schedule to begin the year. While eight of the team’s first 11 games are on the road, Detroit starts the season with three against the lowly White Sox, then heads to New York to take on a Mets squad that will be without the services of ace Kodai Senga. After that? Three versus the Athletics at Comerica Park, then a two-game set in Pittsburgh. That’s four opponents with a combined winning percentage of .404 in 2023. I mean, Chicago and Oakland were two of the four teams to finish last season with 100 losses and I’d personally be banking on a repeat performance from both this coming campaign. If the Tigers can get out of the gate 9-2 or 8-3, this suddenly isn’t such a crazy idea.
