The Houston Astros and Washington Nationals get the 2019 World Series underway at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, and earlier in the day, the two squads released their starting lineups. We knew the Astros’ starting pitcher would be Gerrit Cole and the Nationals starting pitcher would be Max Scherzer, but now we get the rest of the starting lineups.
The most notable takeaway is the fact that the Nationals get to use a designated hitter. Washington moved Howie Kendrick from his normal second base spot to DH, and inserted Asdrubal Cabrera into the lineup at second base. Cabrera will hit sixth, bumping Ryan Zimmerman down one spot.
