Highlights from yesterday’s MLB The Show Players Tournament

Lucas Giolito gave his own play-by-play, and then had the real White Sox play-by-play man join him!

We start with Lucas Giolito of the Chicago White Sox, who mixes in some of legendary Sox play-by-play announcer Ken Harrelson’s signature home run call with this two-run shot over the Colorado Rockies David Dahl.

But there’s more! Jason Benetti is now the Sox signature caller, and he joined Giotto last night and did some play-by-play during his blowout win. Pretty fun!

Here’s a clip of Amir Garrett robbing Blake Snell in their game last night, with Amir recounting some real-life failures he’s had against Austin Meadows while facing him in the game.

And sometimes the glitches hit even in competition. Here’s Hunter Pence, playing as Hunter Pence, unable to round up a ball in right field due to a known glitch in MLB The Show 20 against Gavin Lux and the Dodgers. “It wouldn’t allow my cursor to move him.”

Fernando Tatis Jr. has been a ton of fun to watch in this tournament, but he muffed this one pretty good. Niko Goodrum gets all four bags on an inside-the-park error!

The best soundtrack and screen name in the tournament probably goes to Carlos Santana (Slamtana41), as he just ropes the ball here with 50 Cent bumping in the background.

Ian Happ is a fun watch as well, as he’s living and dying on every pitch. Watch the emotion as he gets three-fourths of a cycle in one inning here.
