Sometimes one player is just able to transcend a season. And for this edition of the MLB The Show Players League, that player is the 11-1 Joey Gallo.
Here’s Gallo complaining about the shift in baseball, while getting an opposite field hit with a left batter. And doing so while talking to his virtual teammates as if they were his actual teammates.
Gallo beats the shift with Willie Calhoun

"Once they ban these shifts, bro....you guys better pick me up in fantasy"
I mean, he ain't wrong https://t.co/iwiPw5Cfoo pic.twitter.com/1zbsrPJCDa
Here’s Gallo going back-to-back bombs, saying he wouldn’t trade his teammates for even Mike Trout — and then subsequently backing off that statement — while mashing on poor Carlos Santana of the Indians.
Gallo goes yard with Willie Calhoun for what feels like the 1000th time

"I wouldn't trade Willie for Mike Trout in this game!......well, maybe Mike Trout"
and then he hits another homer because that's what he does pic.twitter.com/FWnuigDsdr
And here’s Gallo with a fantastic rant about his picture that’s being used in the game. Take note, Sony: get this guy a better fit next season.

The Rangers real-life masher finally dropped a game last night, falling to the Dodgers and Gavin Lux 5-4. A one-run loss isn’t too bad considering the tear he’s been on so far.
But for the game of the night, it was Lux and the Rays Blake Snell. Lux as closer Kenley Jansen had a one-run lead with two out in the ninth, but Austin Meadows stood in at Chavez Ravine and did some yard work.

The game went five innings instead of the normally schedule three, and Snellzilla got it done via the comeback. The banter between him and Lux after the game was fun as well. One of the best games season between two playoff contenders here.
